Friday Funday – It’s the Holiday Season

Christmas is always our favorite time of the year here at Albin’s, and hopefully it’s pretty obvious just how much we love the season, when our coolers start to be filled with fragrant bunches of winter greens, and the sight of beautiful garlands and wreaths adorn the walls of our production rooms.

While our season started back in October, now that Halloween and Thanksgiving have come and gone, we are entering the busiest point of the season, as everywhere, members of our Albin’s Family gear up for the holiday season when they order and enjoy our products. From soft Magnolia leaves, to delightfully scented Pine and Leyland Cypress, and the wintery look of Carolina Sapphire, there’s no bad combination to celebrate.

It may start off a bit slow, as the last few months of the year are always some busy ones when it comes to celebrating things, but that doesn’t mean what comes early isn’t special, as it’s never too early to get into the spirit of the holidays!

We love seeing what’s created with our products all year long, and especially at Christmas. On this #FridayFunday, join us in celebrating that it’s finally the holiday season and check out a few of our favorite designs so far for Christmas this year. ?

From round, square and candy cane shaped, we love our wreaths, but this season, one of the newest trends in holiday decorating are the halftone wreaths, where greens are arranged on a “base,” from metal hoops to wood fencing, woody stems and shaped arches, to make beautiful wreaths and other creations.

This one, made by Melanie Lee of Lee’s Christmas Tree Farm in Texas, a diverse operation that includes Christmas trees, pumpkins and flowers, uses a “base” of twigs to hold a delightful mix of Magnolia leaves and stems of Variegated Leyland Cypress, accented by some fresh pine cones to make a beautiful natural wreath.

(Christmas isn’t just for red and green, you know!)

At Christmas, we love our garlands, too, and no matter if they are made with evergreens from Florida, the Northwest or somewhere in between, decking the halls with stunning evergreen boughs will never go out of style during the holidays.

Sold by our friends at the Hagstrom Greenery Co. to customers here in Florida, these garland mixes of various varieties of Cedar, Cypress and Pine, with various add-ins like red berries and pine cones would give any home or business the perfect festive touch.

Their colors and scent are second to none!

Wreaths aren’t your style? No problem, there’s plenty of other festive options to decorate your door this season, such as these fresh and festive holiday door swags!

Made by Cavicchio Greenhouses Inc., a wholesaler in Massachusetts, these door swags, including mixes of Leyland Cypress, Gold Tip Cedar and Blueberry Cedar, plus branches of traditional evergreens, would add a touch of freshness, fragrance and fun to any door this season.

Beautiful and fresh, we can’t pick just one favorite!

After you add a swag to your door, hang a wreath on the wall and deck the halls with beautiful garlands, don’t forget the table! Dress yours up with a festive centerpiece.

Here’s a beautiful one to get you inspired, artfully designed by Kimberly’s Blooms, a floral shop in Alberta, Canada, and brought to us by our friends at Florists Supply, a wholesaler with locations throughout Canada.

We love this one, as the greenery, including fresh Green Leyland Cypress, paired with Green Cedar and Pine, looks amazing next to the fresh Roses, paired with dried cones and Pampas Grass for a festive holiday look.

There’s nothing better to get in the mood for the holidays than with some beautiful and fresh holiday décor! These were a few of our favorites so far, but we’re sure there’s more to come. Check back next week to see more of our favorites from this year!
