Friday Funday – Let’s Deck the Halls

As of today, Christmas is basically only two weeks, or 15 days away! Can you believe it?

Christmas is always lots of fun, but before the magic happens, there’s always lots of preparation required before the big gatherings and the arrival of the man in the big red suit himself, and everyone celebrates in their own unique ways.

One of our favorite parts of the season is to see many of our Albin’s Family members “deck the halls” and decorate their homes and businesses with plenty of holiday cheer, and every year, we’re honored to make it a bit easier with our many Christmas offerings.

Whether formed into a wreath, hand-tied into a garland, or artfully arranged into a beautiful floral design large or small, either by us or one of our many favorite designers or floral enthusiasts, it’s always beautiful to see what others are able to create.

We love seeing – and helping – others get into the holiday spirit. For this week’s #FridayFunday, join us as we showcase some of our favorite ways that we’ve seen some of our Albin’s Family deck their halls (and spaces inside and outside, too) so far this season.

You can never go wrong with fresh, American grown, Christmas greenery! ❄

Our journey starts outside, as we approach this beautifully adorned gate. How inviting are these beautiful wreaths on a parquet-style gate?

Made of fresh Arborvitae, Green and Variegated Leyland Cypress, Carolina Sapphire, Baby Blue Eucalyptus and Magnolia leaves, topped off with a festive bow, by Christie Walsh-Myers of The Heirloom Yard, an urban farm and floral service in Florida, these wreaths are inviting and fun for the holidays.

Guests love seeing festive touches on the outside, always!

Come in, come in! (Swipe through the pictures in the post to see all of this one.)

First Photo: Let’s head inside, but first, let’s admire what invites us in. Those wreaths and swags? Gorgeous, with all that Leyland Cypress and Carolina Sapphire.

Second Photo: Container with greens arranged and the second wreath on the screen door? Festive and fun, are all the traditional evergreens, plus fresh Magnolia, Carolina Sapphire, Leyland Cypress, red berries and pine cones.

Third Photo: Now that we’re inside, how about that elegant garland!? It too is made with plenty of fresh Leyland Cypress and Carolina Sapphire!

Fourth Photo: A beautiful mantle with festive fresh greens, too? We love this one!

All of these amazing designs and festive touches were crafted by Emily Fyten, designer of Flowers By Emily, located in Kansas, just in time for Christmas.

Now, let’s decorate! These beauties accent a staircase landing here, but they would be perfect for your living room, hallway, family room or at your next event.

Arranged by Winston Flowers, a retailer and wholesaler of fresh florals with locations in Massachusetts and New York, these vases of Amaryllis, Rose and Orchid blooms, paired with large pine cones and plenty of fresh greens, like Magnolia leaves, Carolina Sapphire, Leyland Cypress and fillers, would make a great festive touch.

Variety is the spice of life, and the holiday season!

Time for dinner! We can’t forget to decorate the table first, though.

Flowers by Ray and Sharon, a flower shop in Michigan, has you covered with some great ideas, including this beautiful centerpiece!

Made with plenty of red flowers and green greenery, including vibrant red and white Carnations, Daisies and Baby’s Breath, plus fresh Leyland Cypress and Short Pine, with a touch of traditional evergreens plus a hint of our favorite: Leatherleaf.

Finished off with a red and green bow and a festive souvenir candle holder, it would look great on your table, or as a gift for the host or hostess with the mostess as you attend holiday parties and gatherings this season!

This concludes our tour of some of our favorite holiday décor, and there’s no better way to make it feel like the holidays than with fresh greens! As December 25 draws closer, check back next week to see a few more of our holiday favorites!
