Friday Funday – A Rainbow of Bouquets

Happy New Year!

Friday Funday – A Rainbow of Bouquets

Within the floral industry, there’s always a lot of talk about weddings.

In last week’s edition of the blog, we mentioned that over 2.5 million of them will take place throughout 2022, and where there’s weddings, there’s flowers. So many of them will be needed this year, that many wedding and event florists are booked solid for the entire year already — and even into 2023!

As the months come and go each year, trends come and go as well, and within the last few years, trends in wedding florals have become bigger and more elaborate than ever, with the popularity of arches, hoops, hexagons, backdrops, tablescapes and even wearable flowers. More and more couples also choose to have weddings in non-traditional settings, and often pass on or change traditional traditions.

Weddings are constantly growing and changing, but one tradition has remained the same throughout their metamorphosis: every bride needs a beautiful bouquet to carry as she walks down the aisle to marry the one that she loves. No matter your style, venue, dress, ceremony space or colors, the perfect bouquet is only an idea away.

If you’re a bride looking for inspiration for yours on your special day, or perhaps a designer or flower enthusiast looking for some new ideas, look no further than today’s #FridayFunday, with a flowing rainbow of wedding bouquets! ?

It might be winter right now, but let’s warm up a bit and start off with some summer wedding inspiration — it’s never too early!

Our “warm” red and orange bouquet, brought to us from FiftyFlowers, an online floral marketplace based in Idaho, popular for wedding designs, combines lush greenery with a fiery set of blooms for a bouquet that POPS.

The red and orange hued Roses, combined with a variety of greenery, including Leatherleaf, Italian Ruscus, Silver Dollar Eucalyptus and Green Pittosporum, are all in fact, absolutely stunning on this bride’s special day.

Moving into our yellows, these bouquets too may be a little untraditional, but their natural beauty and stunning colors would be perfect for a wedding at any time of the year.

Assembled and sold by Bloom Bar Florida, a mobile flower cart here in Florida, these bright bouquets with Sunflowers and Daisies paired with fresh Florida greenery would be sure to shine at any wedding or special event.

Greenery such as Leatherleaf, Israeli Ruscus and Salal, with touches of fall and winter greens, including Magnolia leaves and Carolina Sapphire make their blooms shine.

In our eyes, you can never have too much green, and while we too love flowers of all types and kinds, the color green always stands out when it’s used as one of the main colors of a bouquet.

Here’s a great example, as arranged by the designers from Tipton & Hurst, a florist in Arkansas, where the green greenery paired with the cream and white blooms helps steal the show.

Bouquets don’t need a lot of ingredients to look stunning when they are well assembled, as this one does with only Roses, Baby’s Breath and Italian Ruscus leaves.

(And it’s beautiful, too.)

You know the saying from old wedding lore, “something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue.” That last one can be hard to find or incorporate sometimes, but since it’s the last color of the rainbow in our showcase, this bouquet would do the trick.

Brought to us by the folks at Hofland, a floral and décor wholesaler in Canada, this bouquet too shows that they don’t need complicated ingredient lists in order to stand out.

Eucalyptus and Ruscus are definitely in as trends, and with the blue Hydrangeas and the white of the Dahlias and Roses, together they make a great bouquet.

Red, yellow, green or blue, or even any other set of colors will do when it comes to a beautiful, blissful bouquet, and with a record number of weddings set to take place this year, we can’t wait to see even more colors of the rainbow in all types of bouquets. Visit us again next week for another edition of #FridayFunday with more outstanding designs. ?
