Friday Funday – Fresh for Fall

Christmas production has just begun here at Albin’s, but as the calendar year gradually begins to wrap up, we can’t forget the season that comes between summer and winter.

Per the calendar, it’s been fall since late September, and over the last few days, as the days get shorter and the temperatures get a little cooler, we’ve finally started feeling like it’s officially fall.

Every year, with the bright oranges, reds and yellows that come in before the hustle and bustle of the full holiday season, we love seeing the autumn-inspired designs that members of Albin’s Family create to celebrate the changing of the leaves and cooling of the weather.

Let us help you brighten your day! This #FridayFunday, check out these fun designs that incorporate seasonal flair and current trends, such as Eucalyptus, Marigolds and bright colors, for perfect expressions within the crisp fall season. ?

Going big? Yes, please! The larger the arrangement, the more space for fun fall colors and trends, like we saw in this one.

Grower and designer Christie Walsh-Myers loves sharing her talents for production and design with others through her and her husband’s urban flower farm here in Florida, The Heirloom Yard, north of Albin’s, near Jacksonville.

Flowers definitely evoke feelings and memories, and this design, filled with Dahlias, Marigolds and other bright blooms, surrounded by fresh greenery, including Baby Blue Eucalyptus, Seeded Eucalyptus and Green Pittosporum, is outstanding for fun in the fall.

(Plus, with the greens sourced from here at Albin’s, flowers from their own farm and additional flowers from nearby farms, it’s locally grown and #AmericanGrown, too!)

Going smaller? No problem, this design is the perfect little bit of sunshine for a fall day.

Designed by Simply Em Productions, a boutique floral studio in New York, the greenery in this vase brings these vibrant colored fall blooms out perfectly.

The Leatherleaf Fern, Salal leaves, Baby Blue Eucalyptus and Seeded Eucalyptus are the perfect pairing with the Dahlias, Marigolds and Roses. Fun and fresh for the fall season!

Same concept as above, just designed a little differently. Don’t worry, though, they are both just as beautiful to celebrate the fall.

Both Baby Blue Eucalyptus and Leatherleaf Fern provide a perfect accent for this set of fall blooms, including Sunflowers, Daisies, Roses, Alstroemeria and filler flowers.

Like the autumn leaves, vibrant colors of yellows, deep reds and natural tones are suited for the season, arranged by Alyssa and Stasi Reed of Bee’s Blossoms in California.

When thinking about what we love about fall, we can’t forget about fall weddings, of course, and all of the floral designs that make them special.

Our friends at The Flowerman!, a full-service florist for everyday designs and weddings in Ohio, have us covered so far this season, with these fall-inspired centerpieces from a recent wedding, filled with autumn-inspired Marigolds and Daisies, surrounded by fresh Silver Dollar Eucalyptus and Sword Fern.

Perfect for this time of year when summer isn’t *completely* gone, but fall is making her way in.

If you can’t tell, we’re definitely falling for fall, and love seeing the beautiful greenery that makes the bright colors of the season stand out. Check back next week to see more of our favorite designs from fall and beyond.
