Friday Funday – It’s Fall, Y’all

Well, what we get of fall here in Florida, at least, as the days get shorter and the nights get longer, the colors of the leaves begin to lighten (just a bit) and the temperature slowly begins to drop, that is.

As of the Autumn Equinox on September 22, it’s officially fall, and as corn mazes, pumpkin patches and haunted houses slowly begin to appear, so do the arrangements, bouquets, baskets, centerpieces and decor that celebrate the turning of the leaves.

Move over springtime and summertime whites, pinks and purples — it’s time for the yellows, oranges, reds and browns to move in and celebrate fall.

No matter which of the colors are used, fall colors are perfect to accent with fresh greenery, and the hues of our greens perfectly accent them. We know it.

This #FridayFunday, check out a few of our favorite fall pieces that we have seen so far this season to be inspired to create your own autumn-inspired artistry! ?

Best part about fall? All of the fall colors, of course, and don’t miss this display!

The yellows and oranges of the Lilies, Daisies, Sunflowers and Alstroemerias in this bouquet, designed by Alyssa Reid of Bee’s Blossoms in California look amazing, with their colors brought out by the Leatherleaf Fern that accents them from below, plus some green from the lone stem of Israeli Ruscus on the back, too.

We can’t forget about fall weddings! They are the perfect spot to find some beautiful fall colors throughout the season.

These bridesmaid bouquets from Palmer Flowers in Colorado, definitely put the best reds and yellows, with a tiny touch of orange and magenta, on display, surrounded by fresh Eucalyptus, Italian Ruscus, and a touch of Leyland Cypress to round out their beauty.

(It’s never too early for winter greens, either!)

Fall is for football season, and here in the South, we take it pretty seriously.

As they cheer for the Alabama Crimson Tide, Hall’s Wholesale Florist – Theodore in Alabama is celebrating kickoff with a festive football-themed arrangement with some bright blooms, accented by some fresh Plumosus hiding in the back, to provide a great final touch.

(What do we say at Albin’s? Go Gators!)

Another sure sign that fall has arrived? The arrival of Magnolia, and it’s almost here!

The Floral Greens Farmers of Florida, our local co-op, and designer of the FGFF Farm Fresh Web Image Collections, Brooke Raulerson, AIFD, here in Florida, are celebrating with a vase full of fall colors and flair. The fall-themed Roses, Sunflowers and Lilies are accented by the fresh leaves of Green Pittosporum and of course, Magnolia!
