As florists all around prepare for yet another busy weekend this year, the clock is ticking as the countdown to Mother’s Day continues!
While it also may be one of the busiest and most stressful times of the year, Mother’s Day is always a good boost for the floral industry.
Earlier this week, the National Retail Federation released the results from its annual Mother’s Day gift survey, with nearly three-quarters of respondents indicating that they would be purchasing flowers for mom this year, as reported by the Society of American Florists. Flowers were the second most popular choice in gifts, only behind greeting cards, and it’s estimated that for the holiday weekend, consumers will spend over $2.9 billion USD on flowers alone.
After all, how could any mom resist a fresh bouquet, vase or spray of flowers!?
Mother’s Day may come at the end of the list of floral-centric holidays in the early part of the calendar year, but there’s no shortage of creativity, imagination and passion shown by florists, who are entrusted to create the most special of creations for moms everywhere. No matter her favorite colors, flowers or scents, every design made with mom in mind is sure to be special.
Whether you’re looking for some last-minute inspiration, or are just looking to admire some pretty designs, we have you covered in this week’s blog post. As the big day approaches, check out a few of our favorite Mother’s Day designs so far this year! 💐
